BIOGRAPHY
Dolores Zorreguieta was born in Argentina in 1965. In 1987 she graduated from The National School of Fine Arts. A year later she had her first solo exhibition at Frans Van Riel Gallery. In 1992 she moved to New York where she started experimenting with installation thanks to a class taught by Jessica Stockholder at New York University. In 1994 she was selected to be part of The Bronx Museum of the Arts Artist in the Marketplace program. That same year she was awarded a grant to create an installation at Franklin Furnace. In the late nineties she begun exploring digital art and video. She has received grants from The New York Foundation for the Arts and The New York State Council on the Arts. She has exhibited in the United States, Latin America and Europe. In addition to her artistic practice, she was invited by Martha Wilson to be Franklin Furnace’s Program Coordinator in 2003, a position she held for five years. She lives and works in New York City.
